General Summary:

The Shopper Insights Manager will be part of the Integrated Insights Team providing strategic support and partnership to the Campbell Snacks Marketing and Sales Team. The role requires a passion for snacks and will cover the entire portfolio and strong relationships throughout both Charlotte, NC and Norwalk, Ct headquarters as well as customer teams throughout the US.

This requires framing business problems, seizing opportunities proactively, designing research programs to address challenges and/or is familiar with resources enterprise wide to leverage in an effort to solve these challenges, work seamlessly with cross functional teams, and provide actionable insights with the Shopper Lens internally and externally on behalf of Campbell's Snacks at Customer Meetings.

Internal Responsibilities include:

+ Be an advocate and thought leader on behalf of the shopper by having a POV that you are willing to champion and express

+ Comfortable in leadership role and presenting insights to Senior Leadership/VP level

+ Identifying white space opportunities at the macro and customer specific level

+ Oversee shopper learning across a variety of sources to tell the story and influence decisions made as result of their experience and partnership.

+ Leadership role in Joint Business Planning and shaping strategic direction

+ Ability to work autonomously, while maintaining constant communication with key stakeholders that are impacted by current projects

+ Ability to Multi-task

+ Cross functional partnership, management and relationship building - includes CCID, Sales Strategy, Customer Development, Category Management, Category Strategy, and Sales Planning

+ Ability to connect the dots - leveraging insights on competitive landscape, syndicated, custom research and industry news to draw out insights and see trends emerging

+ Act as a storyteller, synthesizing results in a clear and engaging way to provide holistic business recommendations

+ Ability to build meaningful cross-functional relationships

+ Gather cross-functional leadership input to guide strategies and projects

+ Partner with Shopper Marketing/Shopper Activation team to turn analysis and insights into action

+ Drive the Shopper Insights Team Learning Plan by prioritizing and deprioritizing strategic themes and projects on behalf of the customers represented

External Responsibilities include:

+ Must be comfortable in a client facing role interfacing at all levels from senior customer leadership teams to buyers

+ Drive category and shopper credibility by crafting customer facing decks and demonstrating our expertise and willingness to partner for mutual education and growth

+ Have comfort with direct customer communication and collaboration independently from sales/category support

+ Leverage relationships and build partnerships with customer insights teams

+ Become a valued insights partner to the customer so that we are the first call

Vendor Management Responsibilities include:

+ Create Project Scope and Requests for Proposals

+ Once Vendor is selected must be able to manage a research project to completion adhering to timeline and budget requirements

+ Framing Questionnaire - providing input based upon collecting feedback from all project stakeholders

+ Testing questionnaire in programming

+ Consulting on the cross tabular delivery to ensure all needs are covered

+ Shaping the deliverables

+ Ability to take a 'research deck' and create a 'Sales Story' based upon storytelling and insights expertise

Required Experience:

+ Bachelors Degree

+ Knowledge of consumers/shoppers and experience distilling data into insights

+ Track record in leading high visibility research, and storytelling abilities

+ Knowledge of business strategy and experience identifying shopper behavior shifts impact global industries

+ 10+ years research experience

+ 5+ years sales/customer facing experience

Preferred Qualifications

+ Strong connections in the research industry and the ability to help attract and retain great researchers

+ Global experience

+ Experience outside CPG

+ Travel: 25%
