The successful candidate will build and maintain relationships in the region with local and regional economic developers, industrial associations, regional economic assets and program providers, and the local industrial and technology client base. They will develop trusted business advisor relationships with prospects and clients, supporting them in pursuit of their strategic goals. Regional Growth Managers work with clients to define appropriate scopes of work, identify resource needs, and subsequently provide contracted services directly or through the assistance of subject matter experts or partners. The incumbent will manage projects to a successful completion creating positive impact for the client, the region, and the Commonwealth. This position will be located in the Southside Virginia region. The region spans west to east from Martinsville to South Hill and north to Farmville including the Cities of Danville and Martinsville, and the Counties of Amelia, Brunswick, Buckingham, Charlotte, Cumberland, Halifax, Henry, Lunenburg, Mecklenburg, Nottoway, Patrick, Pittsylvania and Prince Edward. The position requires significant overnight travel, typically within Virginia. Position reports to the Vice President, Industrial Development.
