The primary role of the Regional Sales Manager is to develop new business and relationships within academic and research accounts across an assigned territory, while assisting team members in dealer management of an exist sales channel.

Essential Functions

Sales (80%)
  • Qualifying and managing all sales leads and opportunities.
  • Developing new business relationships with potential partners, customers, references and collaborators through cold calling and marketing.
  • Manage and interpret customer requirements, speaking with researchers to understand, anticipate and meet their needs.
  • Developing and area sales plan in combination with managers.
  • Communicating the value of the company and its products.
  • Nurturing and Developing relationships with channel partners.
  • Demonstrating products to end user customers and channel partners.
  • Maintaining sales reports and providing forecasts.
  • Obtaining feedback and forecasts from dealer channel.
  • Other duties assigned by management.
  • Marketing (10%)
  • Maintaining and updating a database of customers.
  • Booking, attending and organizing trade shows and meetings.
  • Establishing and documenting of key references.
  • Work with marketing department to review marketing collateral, application notes and white papers.
  • Other duties assigned by management.
  • Training and Technical (10%)
  • Maintain knowledge of our products and there position relative to applications.
  • Maintain and up-to-date knowledge of applications, the industry and technology.
  • Assist channel partners with queries, training and product positioning.
  • Holding custom seminars relating to our products position in science.
  • Work with channel and software partners to assist in development and be able to demonstrate the integration of our products.
  • Other duties assigned by management.
  • Job Requirements
  • Sales Experience in Life Science.
  • Competent with Windows and Microsoft products.
  • Well developed presentation skills.
  • Excellent customer relationships and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency to follow up and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to act with discretionary decision making.
  • Self motivated.
  • Ability to travel 50% of time.
  • Flexibility to work outside traditional working hours.
