Sales Executive - Smart Cities

We are building
a portfolio with an annual industry leading Smart Cities event that will bring together
the world's best solution providers in the transportation, mobility, security, public
safety, technology, communications, urban planning and infrastructure landscape
to connect with key government officials, private sector leaders, investors,
engineers/architects, big data pros, researchers, and procurement officers.
This event provides a platform for presenting key market trends, providing
demos and technical innovations, and regulatory issues for the ever changing
smart cities market.


The world in
which we live is changing rapidly. This role connects to the new innovations
and true influencers of smart cities, which involves new trends in mobility,
security, infrastructure, big data and energy. The candidate must be passionate
about innovation and enjoy researching and uncovering opportunities and then
bringing those targets in to full closure with expertcustomer care. An ideal
candidate has an entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to contribute new
ideas the team.


Sales Executive is responsible for achieving exhibit space sales goals through
prospecting and driving new business. You should be excited by prospecting for
new business and calling on new prospects to build the show and add to the
diversity of our customer base.

work closely with Event Management to develop selling strategy aimed at
augmenting and cultivating an assigned territory of prospects and potential
customers. Work with Event Management and Partner on an ongoing basis to
identify new segments, territories, and opportunities that fit into the overall
event strategy and drive continued product development. Regularly provide
Management with forecasts against the sales strategy and budget. Continue to
drive Media Sales opportunities.


+ Workwith Sales Management to develop individual selling strategy designed togenerate pipeline of prospects and ultimately drive sales to ensure 100% attainmentof sales target for booth and media sales.

+ Achieveproductivity standards and adhere to all selling process best practices andstandards including - inputting accurate and complete data, managing territory,daily output goals, weekly strike rates, assigned budgets, etc.

+ Proactivelymonitor industry trends, competitive environment, climate, players,distribution and issues to make recommendations regarding sales strategy onspecific events

+ Sellat competitive shows and prepare competitive show analysis and reports in anaccurate and timely manner, including recommended actions necessary to increasesales from these leads

+ Manageand broaden Exhibitor Prospect Lists and generate targeted lists to increasethe probability of sales

+ Utilizeall internal tools to create a more effective and efficient selling environment

+ Forecastrevenue projections

+ Overseethe attainment of signed contracts and ensure that payments for all spacereservations are made in full and sent to the lockbox on time

+ Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM

+ Strongorganizational skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work

+ Ableto work independently as well as in a team environment

+ Abilityto quickly learn and utilize sales data systems

+ Able to work independently as well as in a team environment

+ Proficientwith Microsoft Office, including Excel (advanced knowledge preferred), Word andPower Point


Two or more years prior sales experience
